I did the monster MASH

That's it, I have now watched all 11 seasons of M*A*S*H! That's over 250 episodes. More than 6000 minutes! I watched episodes I remembered, and stuff that was all new to me. I've got a stack of other stuff piled up as I concentrated on this. And now it is all over! With all those DVDs watched, there is only one remaining question. When am I going to get around to watching this again?

Now that is truly epic dude! How long did it take you all up and did you start suffering from overload at all?

Several weeks. I did once or twice pop in another DVD as time went by, but basically I just kept watching more and more and MORE!!! Quite surprised that the quality of the episode kept up over time. As for overload... I'd watch more if there were some! (But not the spin off series...)

Spin off series? I think I'll be googling that.

Did you start with the movie? I noticed that the movie came out three years before the series - were there the same actors/characters or did that all change? I know I'm being a little lazy with all the Q's but what the hey! :-)

Haven't seen the movie, but I understand they kept some of the characters (e.g. Hawkeye) but changed the actors.

Spin off, look up "After MASH", to quote the plot summary "The Korean War has ended. Colonel Potter, Sergeant Klinger, and Father Mulcahy find themselves together once again, this time at a veteran's hospital."

There was even a spin off which lasted the pilot based on Radar going home and becoming a cop!

Excellent DVD decision and quite a feat on your behalf. I Tivo'd the first 6 years recently and worked my way through them rapidly. I think I prefer these ones over the latter years. God, I miss Frank! definitely my favourite show of all time.

The main thing is that there are episodes you remember, and really want to see again, although you have not the slightest idea when they occur...
